Aldaris Porteris 2013, seems it was staying in bottle for few more years instead, Lets see... OH GOD NO ! seems it was shaken at some time, so it basically exploded... 1/3 of bottle is now on the floor... Smell- medium strong, roast, caramel, chocolate. Foam- HUGE upon opening, medium thick to thick, soft, some caramel, some sweetness, some bitterness and roast notes. Appearance- dark hazy, brown. Taste-malt, sweet, kvass, caramel, weak bitterness, surprisingly drinkable. Reminds me of kvass with alcohol, like it, but sadly lost 1/3 of it.. so as it can stay in bottle for next 10 years, I may buy some for later.

Resealable bottle, some pressure inside indeed. Smell - weak, caramel, gingerbread, sweet, candy, roast, malt. Foam - thin to medium, some sweetness, some caramel, some acidic feel, soft, quite large head, light brown white, orange. Appearance - clear, medium dark mahogany red color. Some carbonation. Taste - sweet, acidic, caramel, light, very weak hops, bit in aftertaste when you look for them. Some acidic and weak sour aftertaste. Pleasantly surprised, easy drinking light wintery beer.

Re-rated based on checklist Old score: 8/5/7/4/16=4.0 Originally in 2018 I had it with wax seal, this one is without. Smell - medium strong, roast, cofee, smoke, malt. Bit of caramel. Later more chocolate. Foam - thin to medium, roast, weak to medium malt some bitter and alcohol notes. Bit of coffee somewhere. Small dark brown head. some weak jack daniels feel (duh), tiny, dark brown chocolate head. Appearance - brewer bottle cap, simple bottle with barrels on it, not unappealing but not good enough to get bonuses. Very dark brown, cant see through, but there are some few carbonation bubbles. From - Stout glass Taste - malt, weak bitter notes, roast, alcohol, coffee and dark chocolate. Aftertaste is roasted malt. Does not seems as good as in previous rating, still drinkable brew, quite strong and may go well with something. I do feel faint JD notes, but I dont really like JD. Will not give it a pass as it is Latvian beer, sorry. I does get better later, but I will nor rise score.

Lovely balanced honey aroma is the first I notice. Lovely shiny golden pour also. Looks fine and inviting. Decent balanced sweetness with mild acidity in the back that freshens it up a bit. Also a quite distinctive honey flavor. Well balanced with a fine malty backbone.
