Cask. Appearance is copper, clear, a small fruity head. Raisiny fruity hops on the nose. Solid bitterness, taste of slight citrus, lemony, a bit of hop resin. Nice.

Cask at Egham United Services Club Easter Beer Festival 2012. A dark golden coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. A vague smokey aroma. Tastes slightly smokey, quite smooth and complex. Not bad at all.

Ripple steam brewery best bitter 4.1%. The Plough Ripple clear mid brown colour lasting thin beige. hugely fruity aroma. sweet melon touch of pink grapefruit. supposed to be just one hop in this i have no idea. some caramel in mouth. soft on finish. fruity rather than bitter finish. would orefer a bit more malt and a touch more bitterness on finish but a good start 3.0/5 my first one must have been sat in pipes as 2nd has better temp and carbonation. its a std bitter that needs more bitterness.

Cask gravity at Folkestone Lift BF. Ripple winter ale 5.0%. deep gold amber lasting beige head. Touch of smoke on this no doubt. Hmmm smoky sausage. Hope that is intentional as i love smoked beers. Yes smoky bacon crisp. Lovely smoked beer. Touch more malty backbone maybe. 3.5/5
