Ulfborg Scooper Smagning 2012. Dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma filled with caramelized sugar, with some peach and chocolate notes and a hint of diacetyl. Dry and tart fruity/berry flavour with a roasted finish. Clearly not supposed to be that sour

Bottle: Deep golden to amber coloured, hazy, stable off-white head with a little lace, fruity-caramelly nose with traces of infection; bitter-sourish flavour, medium bodied; woody and malty finish with - again - distinctive traces of infection. Again a disappointing brew from Falkenau......

Lahev: Ruby-amber coloured, hazy, quite stable mid-sized tanned head, dried fruits, cough syrup and a slight acidity in the nose; quite robust sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; slightly lingering, slightly hoppier caramelly-fruity finish. Not great.....

(Draught at Zly Casy, Prague, 28 July 2011) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with notes of bread, toffee, grass and vanilla. Malty taste with bread, grass, vanilla, hints of citrus and a generous grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Solid Bohemian pilsener with lots of grassy hops and toffee character. Very nice.
