Description
De Veluwe heeft zijn eigen bierbrouwerij; in Bierbrouwerij De Vlijt wordt wekelijks zo'n 4000 liter ambachtelijke speciaalbier Veluwse Schavuyt gebrouwen. Het ambachtelijke bier heeft een hoge gisting en wordt niet gefiltreerd en gepasteuriseerd, waardoor de mooie volle smaak van de gebruikte brouwingrediënten in het bier volledig aanwezig blijft. De grondstoffen voor het brouwproces worden zorgvuldig geselecteerd en continue bewaakt op kwaliteit. De Veluwse Schavuyt wordt per brouwsel van 1000 l. gebrouwen. De brouwsels worden nauwkeurig gecontroleerd zodat de smaak en kwaliteit constant zijn. De Veluwse Schavuyt staat vanzelfsprekend op de tap van Proeflokaal van De Vlijt, maar is voor de echte liefhebber ook beschikbaar via de drankenhandel en horecagelegenheden. Het wordt geleverd in fusten van 20 liter en in diverse formaten flessen en cadeauverpakkingen.

Bottle at home. Near clear dark golden with a gushing white head the size of Texas. Unsubtle aggressive bakers’ yeast allover the mo er f ck. Sweet malts, caramelly, dry leafy, and half fermented citrus (p)eels. Moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body and massive carbonation.

On tap @ Farmer's Steakhouse, Apeldoorn. Clear light golden with a white head. Grainy aroma with some hops. Bitter-sweet to sweet taste. Bitter finish with some metallic notes. Just a decent pilsener which is actually an accomplishment for a small Dutch brewery.

Bottle. Color: Clear golden to amber, white head. Aroma: Malt, yeast. Taste: Medium to over medium sweet, medium bitterness. malty, yeast, coriander, herbal. Fruity hints. Pretty long lasting herbal sweetish finish. Medium body, below average carbonation. Ok, but a bit boring at the end.
