Bottle. Hazy brown, low lacing of white head. Dunkel-like grassy and roast aroma. Medium chewy body, good grassy and herbal bitterness, has some fitting rough scottish ale notes and quite drinkable thistles.

Beautiful light gold-lemon body with a huge strong foamy white head - yes, I’m a sucker for big heads. Very strong and hoppy aroma with heavy hints of cardamom. The flavour is a light affair with wheat, lavender, slight spice. Very dry finish. A nice saison, perfumy, intelligent. Very refreshing.

Okay copper-orangeish body with modestly decent head but it does not stick around for too long. Aroma is crisp cardboard like a rather crappy lager. Flavour is intense smokiness with a hint of malt on the back end. Like charcoal there. No hops to indicate it’s an IPA, and this fails completely in that regard. Not impressed. Rather blah. Rather bad.

Not sure what the point of topping the cap with a grey wax is... but there it is. It pours an okay yellow with a head that is not exciting, weak shall we say, but does stick around for awhile. Aroma is typical hoppy lager-ness with a hint of hazelnut. Flavour is a fine mix of lemon-ness with nut and caramel in very soft quantities on the back end. Slightly oily finish. Intelligently made, but uneven, this is a good lighter beer and highly enjoyable.

First rating! How did that happen? Not a bad label, I’m always up for something new, so here we are. Poured slightly chilled into a tall glass - there is a little bit of head that stays for a brief while, and the body is an okay gold with no carbonation bubbles to speak of. Aroma is that of a lager, but a good lager - nutty, woody, slightly hoppy, no alcohol. Appetizing. Flavour is an interesting mix of grassy hops with nuttiness on the back end and a soft finish. It’s a mellow brew, and this is good - it’s not overbearing and would appeal to those looking for an unintruding beverage. No complaints. Very nice, well balanced, a pleasure to drink. It’s one of those beers that could easily fall into the background as it’s a simple lighter beer but it’s well made. Worth a look if you find a bottle.
