Ever so slightly hazy golden coloured body with a nice two centimetre pure white head that fades very slowly and leaves a subtle lace on the sides. Aroma of very strong and deep spiced notes of chai tea, nutmeg and especially canella and allspice with a lot of wheat and softer sugars noticeable on the edges. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong spiced flavours at first with the nutmeg and canella here, with a light wheat and soft malted component that shows some good balance, but without any sweetness, this is nice, slightly dry and showing the mellow type of flavour, with the spices by far the strongest, later. Aftertaste shows some dry wheat, yeast and floral aspects, but this really is all about the combination of soft malt notes with the deeper tea-inspired spice components and dry notes from the chai, with the allspice and nutmeg front and centre. Overall, a very nice and complex saison that hits well for the style, but the spices make this a class of it's own, in a good way. Great to sample if you like either of these things - chai or saisons! Well-recommended if you can find it! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 03-September-2022 for US$3,59 sampled as Day #4 of my 2022 (self-created) advent calendar, at my house here in Washington on 04-December-2022.

16 ounce can. Number one with a bullet. Nearly opaque black brown color. Creamy tan head dissipates to a small ring. Nose is sweet roasted malt and oakey bourbon. Flavor follows nose. Rich, roasted malt, dark chocolate, bourbon and oak. Their is a complex fruitiness that emerges in the layers of flavor. This is a rich, satisfying brew.
