Bottle. Expected aroma of pale malt and noble hop. Pale gold color with a respectable white head. Thinnish body with sharp carbonation. The flavor is malt backed with noble hop. The finish is fairly dry and the hop is adequate - say balanced. Decent representative of the style, and much better than American macro versions.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear golden yellow with an amber hue and with a white head. Sweet deep malty aroma. Flavour starts sweet malty, stays somewhat soft although a sharp bitterness and somewhat metallic and alcohol heavy finish soon kicks in. Decent.

66 cL bottle. Pours golden clear yellow with a lacing white head. Minor malty dry aroma with a slight note of bitterhops. Soft mouthfeel. Flavour is soft malty with almost no bitterness in the finish. Somewhat too simple, yet I assume it to work as intended on a warm Summers day - although I have a better understanding of why the Italians drink wine more than beer.

Standard quickly diminishing lager head. Pale, but slightly orange. Corn nose. Dry taste, somewhat watery. A little bit of hops. Better than the normal peroni, which is one of my enemy beers. I wouldn’t have got this unless it was free; fortunately, it was free.

[i]Bottle, Cyper Cafe, Ypres West Flanders, Belgium, 26-06-07[/i] Chose this by accident such was the lack of information about it on the beer menu and my failure to bring out the ’Good Beer Guide to Belgium’ this evening. What can I say? It tastes no different to any other non-alcoholic beer I’ve had Barbican being this instant thought that came to mind, I even sipped it before realising it was non-alcoholic that was a shock. Thin watery beer with metallic edge, awful.
