Notater fra en aldeles hyggelig kveld på Våland med Phd-stipendiaten og trekkspilleren: Nydelige inntrykk av saftig citrus, mørke sjokolader og furunål. Fin bitterhet og tørr avslutning med laaang ettersmak. Maris Otter, Caramunich 2, hveteflak, havreflak, Cascade, Simcoe, Mosaic og Amarillo. Ikke rart det blir godt! Og utseendet var naturligvis upåklagelig. 0,33 flaske fra importkofferten.

Fra cask på legendariske Hole In the Wall (her har lite og ingenting blitt forandret siden jeg frekventerte denne midt på 80-tallet, til og med røyklukta sitter igjen!), med Egil: klar gylden med fint skum helt ned. Urter, barskog, brennenesle. Tørr og slank med fin munnfølelse.

Fron cask at the Halfway House Craft Pub as a detour midway on leg 7 of the Green Chain Walk 06.08.22. Pale mahogany amber. Off-white head and lacing. Aroma and taste of sweet pale malt, crystal malt, sap, honey and dried berries.

Gravity cask at the 31st Ealing Beer Festival, Walpole Park, 15/07/22. Lightly hazed golden blonde with a decent white cap. Nose is melon, grass, tangerine, airy malts, grains. Taste comprises citric tinged straw, pale malts, lemon rind, orange peel, melon. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with mellow hop bitterness. Passable pale.
