Tap at the Warehouse Bar, Bangkok. Poured a clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is skunky malt, light resin floral, big woody hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a malt, big dry woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. This is a very bitter beer and quite one dimensional from beginning to end. I’m not sure of the bittering hop combo but it tasted stale and wasn’t great. To make it worse that unpleasant bitterness stayed around right until the end. Not great. Here’s hoping for some improvement with the second version. The bittering hops need to change, a little citra or mosaic would be nice and it would benefit from a little more carbonation too.
