Bottle. Brown pour. Aroma of dates, caramel, raisin, malt and vanilla. Taste has raisin, dates, figs, yeast esters caramelised malt, vanilla, caramel and a little iron. Pomegrenade is there, but faintly. Not bad, the dates are nice, but I also detect some oxidation. Also, this seems more like a yeasty dubbel, there is not much saison character.

Bottle from Bierkoning in RB 2019/3 Euro Swap - cheers! Rocky tan head left a frothy cover on a mahogany still body. Chocolate & malt aroma. Medium bodied, soft & oily on the palate with a clean back. Liquorice, berry, malt, woody, sherry & red wine tastes. Deece.

8/1/2020. Bottle from De Bierliefhebber online store. Pours very dark brown with a short lasting off-white to beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, dark chocolate, roasted malt, toffee, liquorice, touch woody/herbal/medicinal/spiced. Medium sweetness, light bitterness and a hint of tartness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Not bad, but a bit of an odd one.

4th January 2020
Clear deep amber - brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Light smooth palate, semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Light malts, trace of darkish toffee. Mild spice and mild esters. Very mellow red berries. Light finish. Hmmm, not hating this, but it's a wishy washy Port BA treatment, struggling to recall a weaker one. A light and semi dry finish brings a little bitterness. Not doing enough for what it purports to be.
