Can from ASDA, Keighley. Hazy golden-amber with an initially large frothy head due to a fair activity out of its metal. Its carbonation is evident, but its not detrimental to what is quite a fruity-dry taste, sometimes milkshake in this this respect and in its texture, although never really that sweet. Its tropical fruits are also in its aroma.

Milkshake IPA with blueberries, from tap at Geus Van Gent, thanks Craftmember for sharing. Medium thick, off-white, mousy, slowly dissipating head, cloudy peach blonde robe with darker ochre-brownish tinge. Aroma of strawberries more than actual blueberries, mango juice, lychee, blood orange, brioche bread, apricot yoghurt. Sweet fruity onset, lychee and mango effects with a sweet ripe berry note but again more reminiscent of strawberries than blueberries (or indeed bilberries), fizzy carb, soft doughy maltiness with only a limited amount of lactose sweetness and creaminess, mild citric hoppiness in the finish, soft in bitterness but very aromatic with notes of lychee and blood orange, though not in an overly exuberant way. In that sense, this beer remains relatively true to the 'core' of international IPA, remaining 'taut', slender and dry enough to actually kind of hide its 'milkshake IPA' intentions; the bilberries too remain relatively subtle. Unexpectedly well-contained - I rather have fruit and milkshake IPAs like this than the almost 'real' fruit juice concoctions you often see in this segment. This is still very much IPA (albeit a 'postmodern' one) and not too much fruit juice, and in my book, this deserves an extra point.

Hazy blond with lasting lacy head. Aroma and flavour bittersweet hop notes with melon, peach and a little strawberry. There's no mega sweet assault of vanilla in this one making fairly drinkable.

Appearance is amber, golden tinge, a half-finger foamy white head. Aroma is orange, marmalade, hoppy fruit, pineapple hints. Trace of caramel. Taste- lots of bitter hops, juicy fruit, orange, citrus fruit, malty background. Bit of peach on the finish.
