Description
Originally from Sainte-Croix en Plain, the Alsatian Sainte Crucienne brewery first saw the light of day in 2007 during a boozy evening, thanks to a band of idealistic friends eager to create different and very hoppy beers. At the start of their adventure, they started by brewing 20 liters of beers, then 100, then 600. It was not until 2013 that the brewery officially started in its premises in Colmar, in just three years the volume of production has doubled to reach 3000 hl today.

They share this success with a whole community of independent brewers who are part of the Front Hexagonal de Libièration, with whom they continue to work. The goal is to multiply collaborations and unique brews to create an ever more original beer in taste and participate in the revolution of the world of craft beers.

Bottle at home in quarantaine. Not shared since nobody here likes Christmas beers. Clear light amber with small beige head. Caramel, light spices, confit fruits, raisins, dried figs, soft cardboard. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied. Not too bad, and it's nice it's not just sweet but also bitter. Let's hope it saves us from Corona.

Bottle at München Ratebeer tasting, Monday 17th February 2020. We tried to determine what flower this aroma was, it was felt that it was edging towards lavender. Clean and with a twisty fruitiness, a little tart. Soft carbonation, good.

Bottle. Unclear golden-amber color with white head. Aroma is lime and great herbs, thyme, coriander, fresh. Taste is lemon, thyme, super herbal. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Solid, though very perfumey.

Bottle shared at Maakun’s. Clear golden with white head. Sweet malts, grapefruit and resiny sweetness. Quite sweet and bitter. Over medium body and soft carbonation, smooth creamy. I like this old school stuff. --- Beer merged from original tick of Steal This Beer on 11 Jan 2020 at 02:40 - Score: 7. Original review text: Clear golden with white head.
