Very good cream-beige head, dense and stable, leaving textbook lace over red-shot dark brown beer. Sweetish caramel-toffee nose, roasted grains, slight coffee. Bitter, hoppy, near-metallic taste. Ground coffee powder. Again a tad metallic (stannum?) Very slick, near chewy; creamy-velvety texture; well-carbonated. Long bitterish aftertaste, with just a touch of stout acidity. Good brown beer, pleasing.

Huge, very dense & fine white head over veiled orangey-golden beer, well-carbonated. Aromatic, fruity New World hops, passion fruit, lychee, rosewater, citruspeel. Bit dullish, dry-spicy flavour. Herbal and faintly again New World hops, mainly in the finish. Sugary (white candi -) sweetness underneath. Aftertaste develops something faint ashy-smokey, but very mildly so. Spritzy, light body, faint slickness. Somewhat better than the usual wit. Bière nihiliste is every bit as tiresome as satirique.

Medium, light-yellowish head, shortlived over faintly orangey golden beer. Dry nose, bit hoppy. Dry leaves, sparadrap, camphor, mint. In the finish, I get honey - but as I knew, I wonder... In the flavour, the honey is definitely more obvious. Again dry autumn leaves, bit of caramel. Again mint/camphor. Light body, medium carbonation, bit watery. Not without merit, but nobody is going to rave over this. Then again, bière satirique, what the hell is thàt supposed to mean??

(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Saint-Gilles, Brussels, 16 Oct 2015) Reddish amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of caramel, orange peel and pink grapefruit. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, blood orange, citrus peel and a generous citric bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain malt sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, with a good malt profile and a generous hop character. Nice one.

(Keg at Black Door, 20151218) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had citricness, orange juice and a hint of malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, Belgian style yeast. citricness, grass, malts, mildly caramel and medium bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. An hoppy pale ale with a twist from Belgian style yeast. Rather dull.

Tap@ Black door. Pours unclear amber with a thin white head, lacing. Nice hoppy, sweet tropical fruits in aroma. Sweet fruity, peachy with some nettles as well. Sweet finish, lingering fruitiness. Almost too sweet but I do enjoy the fruits here.

Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ “Vini Birre Ribelli 2015”. Hazy orange, little white head. Nose is weirdly mineral & watery, dust, hay,… Taste is same, spoiled sugar, massive white sugar sweetness, bad milk, table sugar, hay, white bread. Body is watery & milky, spoiled + cheap table sugar. I don’t get where they were going with this one.

Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ “Vini Birre Ribelli 2015”. Dark brown, small tanned head. Nose is leaves, herbal, licorice. Taste is herbal, dull leaves, powdery, mocha, licorice, herbal, touch caramel. Powdery body. Meh,… Not much of an BIPA, too much leaves, powdery character etc.
