Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Black color, creamy beige head. A bold Stout, although not yet Imperial, dominated by strong bourbon notes in the aroma and flavor, some vanilla and coconut, a bit boozy.
Gimmicky but quite nice.

Draft - Sweet boozy whisky notes. Deep brown with a decent light brown head. Whisky barrel, Woody notes and some dry roast. Lots of whisky but nice.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out vanilla, whiskey and booze. Flavour is hugely dominated by the whiskey, though it's not too boozy; there's a little vanilla and cocoa further back. Better than the regular Stoutnik, but not overly complex or enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours deep ruby black, small tan head, dissipates quickly, some lacing. Aroma is roasted malts, burned and ashtray notes. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, roasty, burned, a bit of rubber. Light body, a bit of acidity.

Amber color, just hazy, with compact head. An ordinary Amber Ale with a light floral-spice-anise touch, that gives mild unpleasant character; low bitterness. Ginger or Ginseng, they don’t belong in beer.

Bottle, pours a clear pinkish orange with a small white head. Aroma is quite smoky and herbal upfront, with earthy notes further back. Flavour is just as bizarre, with herbal smoky notes upfront. What a strange cream ale - doesn't seem like this is supposed to taste this way. Not so good.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a deep dark brown with an amber tinge and a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted nuts and some earthy wheaty notes. Flavour is well-balanced, with toasted nuts, earthy notes and dry cocoa. Well-constructed and drinkable - enjoyable considering I'm not a big fan of the style. Good stuff.

Quite strong, there is good pumpkin and light spice, along with some phenolic yeast and a bit of alcohol late.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Auburn colour with dissipating beige head. Aroma has huge pumpkin and spice notes. Flavour has an initial hit of the same, but falls flat quite quickly. Medium body, alcohol hidden.

Dark brown color, almost black, with compact head. The profile is based on dark caramel, with an interesting roasted malt vein, bready and biscuity, pumpernickel, while the spices are really minimal, and it has light fruit esters in the end.
Nice.
