hop accented and registers in at a hefty 6.8% and really is nothing outstanding, but if you wanted an absolutely typical hoppy PNW beer, this would be spot on and that is why it get a couple of marks more

Slightly hazy amber colour. Lots of sweet, earthy malts and slightly woody hops. Sweet, sticky, lots of caramel. Fairly good session stuff.

Dark brown. Thinnish, light body. Accented towards coffee and sweet, slightly confectionary malt. Nothing doing.

Golden-brown colour. Bright. Nutmeggy aroma with some dark chocolate notes. Milk chocolate and stable notes on the palate. I got that stable (dung) character in the Pilsner, too, and itβs very distinct and totally inappropriate. Though they shouldnβt be using the same yeast for this as for the Pilsner, maybe they are and maybe that yeast is developing an unpleasant life of its own. Moderate body. Sweetish finish with slight toffee note and lots more of that stable note mixed with cigarette smoke (Longwood is a non-smoking pub).

Straw colour with chill haze. Fresh pale malt aroma with a hint of minty hops and background phenols (bubblegum). Definite stable taste - dung and hay. Very husky malts. Earthy finish.

Golden colour. Aroma of pear, peach, light bubblegum. Husky grain notes, slightly perfumey, mossy. Finish is crisp, slightly fruity (apple, hint of berry) with more husky pale malt notes. Fresh-tasting.
