Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 33B/X3/25B-Super). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L170116 (BBF 12/2022). AROMA: medium-low citrus-like aroma with notes of orange, slight lime and a slight white wine character. neutral malt background with a gentle sweet note. barrel character not detected. APPEARANCE: gold color and clear. medium-low creamy white head with medium-low to low retention. TASTE: medium-low fruity notes (oranges, slight lemon), followed by an almost neutral grainy background. slight sulphury and yeasty faint note. medium-low bitterness with a dry and slightly bitter finish. no barrel character detected. PALATE: medium-low body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: altough it smells better than its more bland flavor, it is a very nice try of a good "portuguese" style.

6/V/17 - 33cl bottles from Geers (Oostakker) @ Abeels visiting (home) - BB: XII/2018 (2017-581) Thanks to all for sharing the beers!

Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy solid beige irregular head, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: pretty roasted, some chlorine, hoppy, fruity touch, some sweet malts. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: soft roast, malty, some caramel, very hoppy, bitter, more roast. Aftertaste: resinous, grapefruit, very bitter, roasted, very hoppy, nice, some tropical fruit, still that bit of chlorine. Weird. Could've been a 4.4/5 without that chlorine touch...

Clear amber to orange beer, creamy irregular off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: nice fruity notes, some chlorine, bit malty, some caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: bit sweet, malty,s ome caramel, fruity hops, some grapefruit, bitter. Aftertaste: tropical fruits, caramel malts, pretty bitter, very decent one! And oh boy, good thing they've changed the label design. If I see the old picture compared to what I bought, I probably would've never bought the bottles with the old design. ;-)

Pitch black, small thick creamy tan head, receding slowly to a thin layer, light lacing. Aroma roasted malt, cocoa, liquorice, dark fruits. Flavour medium sweet and bitter, malty, roasty, burnt caramel, fruity notes. In the middle part prevails a malty bitterness, leading towards a bittersweet aftertaste, chocolate, spices, earthy notes. Full-bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, round and rich BIPA, very good.
