Bottle at share: pours dark brown with beige head. Aroma is cognac, malty, earthy. Taste is slightly sweet, earthy, sort of dry. Nice barrel treatment.

16 ounce can from brewery. Number one with a bullet. Hazy yellow gold color. Dense, pillowy beige head. Floral hop aroma hints at dank citrus and sweet melon. Bready malt backbone leads to a soliloquy of lupulin luminosity. Stone fruit, dank citrus and resiny pine notes have you leaping from coast to coast. A touch of New England and a hint of Pacific Northwest. Enjoy the ride!

On tap at brewery. Cloudy tannish gold pour. Creamy beige cap leaves behind plenty of clinging lace. Fragrant aromas of stone fruit and ripe citrus. Flavor mirrors aroma. Notes of peach, ripe orange, lemon and guava. Creamy mouthfeel. Warming alcohol. Tangy notes. A bit stronger than Head High and much more elegant.

On tap at Tavern on the Lake in Hightstown, NJ. My 75th Kane rating. Number one with a bullet. Jet black pour. Creamy tan ring. Roasted malt and peppermint on the nose. First sip is amazingly luxurious and thick. Flavors of roasted malt, peppermint, dark chocolate and coffee. A slow sipper for sure. Warming alcohol in middle. Sticky mouthfeel. Chocolatey mint finish leaves resiny notes.

Draught @ Hudson Hall, Jersey City. Hazy bright dark yellow like apricot juice, foamy off-white head, unripe mango aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter unripe mango-citrus peel taste with the emphasis on mango, smooth somewhat thick body, long fruity finish. Well balanced and tasty.

On tap at Uno Chicago Grill in Hamilton, NJ. Opaque black pour. Brief tan head. Sweet roasted malt aroma. Big roasted malt flavor hints at molasses, espresso and bittersweet chocolate. Big boozy notes! Intense hoppiness balanced the rich, thick roasty characteristics. Make no mistake, this is a huge stout that is best sipped slowly. Maybe the hoppiest Imperial Stout I have ever tasted. Wow!

500ml bottle. Stingy woody and roasty with some rye barrel, bourbon, vanilla, oak and syrup, hints of licorice, maple syrup and molasses.
