Can, bb 11/25. Almost opaque orange with a dense cm+ of white head. Vague citrus aroma is rather Berroca. Weird off fruit juice taste is sweet, a little sour, bitter and herbal/ barky. I don't get it.

Can. Clear amber with a good cm of white head. Aroma of grapefruit, caramel, light bread. Sweet and boiled lolly like with modest citrus and hints of mango towards a moderately bitter end. Fair enough.

Can. Unclear gold with a cm of white head. 3+ Weak bready aroma with light spices. Quite rich bready malt with hints of stone fruit before rather meek bitter finish.

Can. Deep gold with a white head that fades fast. Aroma of slightly grainy bread, light spices. Quite sweet with dull but sufficient bitterness. Clean, could do with a few more bubbles. OK.

Nordic pint glass showing turbid dark gold with a finger of clean white foam.
The nose shows moderate notes of light orange with tea and malty biscuits.
The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Light flavors of orange peel with a tea-like astringency and bitterness on the finish.

A random find at LUCUA and it was cheap so I thought I’d give it a shot. DHC Twilight Hazy IPA 6% Completely opaque gold with dense white foam. It has a sharp citrus and lemon aroma. Earthy, butterscotch and candy notes. The label says it uses lactic acid which is just weird. This one is a total miss verging on an atrocity.

Not a huge fan of these guys but at 500¥ for two cans from Yamaya they don’t make such terrible fridge fillers…

J-craft Dry Hopping Momo Fuwa IPA Fruit Hazy Style IPA 6.5% 30 IBU Incredibly opaque milky honey golden haze with a somewhat juicy hop bouquet. The medium body has some creaminess. Overall at 300¥ good value but it lacks the big over the top juicy punch of a true hazy in my opinion. I don’t see how it’s be possible to deliver that for 3 bucks!

DHC J CRAFT Yuzu Fuwa Fruit Hazy IPA 6.5% 30 IBU Orange gold with minimal foam and a slightly pithy Yuzu aroma. The taste is Yuzu peel but a bit bitter. Alright 300¥ beer bought at Kohyo Supermarket.

Can from 7-11 I think. Super hazy pale gold, effervescent, with a medium, airy head. Big citrus nose, yuzu, C hops, Touch of Mosaic-like dankess, light wheat. Smells nice. Flavor reveals yuzu juice, wheaty biscuits, yuzu zest, nice citrus flavor that is really quite balanced between the yuzu and the hops. Not pasty or thick. For a beer made to be mass-produced craft, this one holds up quite well. Definitely the best of the three they have done.
