Opaque black beer, thin off-white head. Dry, malty smell. Flavour is light, earthy malt. Chocolate. Some liqorice and a touch of fruit. Creamy in the mouth, ever so slightly dry/sour in the aftertaste. Decent enough.

Bottle from beerhawk. A dark murky colour with light IPA aroma and touch of vinegar. A very nice beer in fact, feels like mix of cosy ale and nice IPA. Would be nice on cask I feel.

Bottle from O’Brien’s, Athlone [030317]
Straw, very light haze, thin white head
Aroma of light spicy hops, hint of citrus, very light nose
Taste of light pale malt, very light spicy hops, hint of citrus zest, slight floral note, very light flavour
Palate - Medium carb, light body, slight sweet, soft bitter, refreshing. Finish as main flavour, clean palate
Overall - Clean, fresh lager. Better than Danu. Rather light in flavour for me but it is a lager - for the style it’s decent enough. Should be in 500ml bottles.

330ml bottle, thought it appropriate given it’s St. Patrick’s Day today. Pours a hazy pale golden colour with a small frothy head, nice lacing but didn’t last too long. Aroma of fruity grassy hops. Taste has some fruitiness and citric grassy hops, grapefruit. Fairly low bitterness, medium body, carbonation quite lively, a bit too much actually. Nothing spectacular here but highly sessionable, very easy drinking.
