On tap at Brew Festival. It pours a murky orange colored body and a dense but minimalistic white head. The aroma is grapefruity and lightly piney and resiny, with a whiff of alcohol and some pale malts. It’s full to medium bodied, dryish and quite low on carbonation. There’s a slight hopburn going on, as well as a nice bitterness, with mostly hoppy flavors. Some pale malts in the back. Grapefruit, some pine cones and resin. Alcohol too. A decent one, but too low on carbonation, and a bit too straight forward. 220430

On tap at Brew Festival. It’s dark brown in the glass, oily, with a minimal sized dark beige head. The aroma has caramel sauce, dark chocolate, some roasted malts and a hint of coffee. It’s sticky and sweet on the palate, full-bodied, soft and lightly warming. Mostly sweet flavor, with caramel sauce, dark chocolate and some coffee hints. More roasted malts than in the aroma. Lasting sweet, roasted finish. Way too sweet, but at least the alcohol is well hidden. 220430
