Tap at Beer Cellar Sapporo (BCS for the purpose of the next 8 ratings!). Aroma is light honey or maple syrup, lots of malt. Taste is similar, grainy, not so bitter, malty to the front, little bit of sweetness. Maybe a little citrus.

Bottle at Hop Haven. Nice lime taste. Easy going, lime is at the front. Bit of grain. Nice enough.

Tap at Grub. Aroma is mostly blueberry, get a bit of the mint, but it's almost mint sauce like. Taste is similar, blueberry and mint sauce, nothing particularly wrong with it, just not particularly tasty. New combination to me, but not sure it works for me.

Tap at ibrew wired. Wheaty, floury, a bit sweet. Some strange sweetness, something fruity, alright.

2013 Bottle [Bourbon Barrel Aged] Super crisp and hazy copper coloured body with a bright bronze glow and a thinnish, single to perhaps two centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of alcohol, bourbon, malt, peat, grain and a dose of hay with some funk and a light touch of caramelised sugars towards the end - quite strong, especially in the bourbon department. Medium to perhaps Full-bodied; Strong, dense malty and peaty flavours with a lot of depth from the bourbon and alcohol notes with a light dose of caramelised sugars and pure toffee on the finish, with perhaps a dash of fruits as well that show more of a pitted fruit and apple flavour. Aftertaste shows the bourbon, alcohol and peat notes by far the strongest with a noticeable set of vanilla and dry oak right behind, but the punch and potency from the grain is very noticeable, but in a good way. The finish is very smooth and incredibly subtle given the complexities and depth/alcohol involved with this one - the aging has done tremendously here and perhaps an amazing time to drink this one! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 03-May-2015 for US$10,39, sampled just past four years later on 23-May-2019. 2013 Vintage Bottle // Purchased: 03-May-2015 // Sampled: 23-May-2019

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color Kolsch with a small foamy head. Aroma of lime juice and lime zest with some light cereal notes is enjoyable. Taste is a mix of dominant notes of lime zest and lime juice with some light cereal notes and some residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Enjoyable and refreshing but not sure the base Kolsch beer can really be tasted through all the lime notes.
