Warm brown colour in draught. Sweet and nutty with a bit of pecan? in the aroma. Again, would make a good session beer if served in small enough glasses. Good for washing down spices.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours very black with a 4+ finger foamy tan head. Given the huge head aroma is problematic - but at least chocolate and bourbon. Full bodied. Flavor is earthy chocolate with some very smooth burnt malt, and a good deal of bourbon/vanilla. There may be some oak astringency, but ... There’s a little dark fruit and maybe some earthy hop. It is dry, astringent, and arguably quite bitter. Gets a little dark fruit in the long finish. Very tasty.

Draft. Cloud amber body with a frothy white head. Aroma of pine, resin, caramel, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, soft carbonation. Above-average sweetness for a double IPA, caramel on top of pine and flowers. Muddled.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours orange-amber with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of hops, tropical fruit and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of pineapple, hops and toasted malt. The finish is hoppy with a lingering pineapple aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
