Golden colour, white head. Aroma is alcohol and metallic, and so is the flavour, added with some grains. Bad.

(33cl bottle, 8.8% abv) Clear, mahogany colour with a medium-sized, light-beige foamy head with lace. Slightly dusty and sweet toast-malty nose with notes of prunes, accompanied by a metallic and slightly acidic tang. Sweet flavour, full bodied, soft on carbon. Toasty malty, slightly fruity taste with light notes of caramel; sweet and malt-accented, moderately toasted and slightly fruity finish with spicy accents and a quite low level of hoppy bitterness. The alcohol is well-embedded. Just okay.

Nice dark brown coloured body with a dense off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and definitely some nuts. Medium-bodied; Spicey malt up front fades to nuts, alcohol later on. Aftertaste shows complexity - a nice deep spice plus some very potent pit fruit flavours. Overall, a good beer - nothing tremendous, but finding this in a little market in Bruxelles speaks volumes. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from a small little market off Ave. Louise in Bruxelles, Belgium on 01-January-2008.

330ml bottle from a supermarket in Gent. Mahogany coloured with a big off-white head that left plenty of lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, dark fruit and a hint of liquorice. The flavour had more caramel and fruit, with some spice and a long bitter finish. Very enjoyable.

330ml bottle. Pale amber coloured with a slight head. Aroma of grassy hops with some sweet malts. The flavour began with some honey and citrus before a hoppy, dry finish. Good.
