Canned. Golden colour, big fluffy head, which vanishes almost completely. Aroma is hops, malt and alcohol. Classic malt liquor aroma. Flavour is rather malty. Some very weak hints of hops is there. The maltyness drowns everything else, not even alcohol comes through that well.

Bottle at Zuideterras, Antwerp, Belgium. I had this and Loz had Rodenbach unfortunately I hadn’t had an awful lot of this before Loz decided that her beer wasn’t for her and nicked my one. Poured a light brown colour with a decent head fruit, hops and malts dominate the aroma, taste is a little more of the same with some bitter sweetness thrown in for good measure.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is rum. Rum and plum in flavour along with some hops. Quite interesting "Pale lager" which only reminds of Rum. Though, I am not a big rum fan... and this beer reminded me why...

Reddish amber ale with a thick moka head, overflowing (from a can???). Aroma odf sweet beet juice, caramel and light sulfur notes. In mouth, a sweet butterscotch, with a rather dry alcohol finish, short and sweet. Overall, a sweet cloying beer, in line with other fine malt liquors made by John Martin. The high class eurobums will love this. Bieropholie imports.

Dark clear brown ale with a thick light moka head. Aroma of caramel malt and light alcohol. In mouth, a light chocolate malt with loads of sweet caramel, light nutty notes, and warming alcohol. Light fruity notes, like figs and prunes develop as beer warms up. Much better than the godawful Blonde. Bieropholie private imports.

Golden ale with a thick off white head. Foam gushed out of bottle upon opening. A sweet estery malt with some diacetyl. In mouth, a sweet malt with notes of berries, alcohol warmth, veering on malt liquor. Bieropholie private import.

Test vom 15.9.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,10,10,9,8,11 - 9,85

I’m going to go against the grain on this beer. I thought it was very good and comparable to St. Bernardus. Aroma has coriander and other spices, citrus, and sweet wheat. Flavor is sour; more coriander, grapefruit, and some sugar. Considerable spice in this beer; more than many wit beers. Cloudy gold appearance with a thick white head. Medium palate. Tasted at Cellars; Roseville, MN.

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Lots of hoppy flowers in aroma. Really good. Nice hoppy bitter flavor, average finish. Oily palate, strange european strong lager, but I really like this beer.
