Clear brown color, large head. Aroma is roasted malty, some licorice, biscuit, and a typical X-mas alcohol smell. Taste is very sweet roasted malts, belly warming palate.

Flat Belgian style blond with a strong alcohol nose. The flavour is quite watery and sttong. Quite a poor Belgian ale.

A definite drain pour! Dark yellow color, short head, nothing wrong with the appearance. But then the smell: oversweet rum, brown sugar and coconut, more like a cocktail than a beer. Taste is pilsener-like with sweet rum. Palate is rum. Rum, rum, rum. I don't like rum...

Dark amber color, thin creamy head. Nice, sweet malty aroma, with some liquorice. Good malty body, a lot of caramel, some sweetness; very light liquorice; the final is less structured (than I remember). Final dominated by the caramel.

Bottled. Lousy lager in a gimmicky bottle, made for the Spanish market. Golden colour. Sweet and grainy, mellow and unclean.

(Pretty aged sample). Very dark brown; creamy, cream-coloured full head. Biscuity nose, malt syrup, dark malts, nutty, licorice. Extreme licorice-flavour, like liquified "jap". Retronasal very fruity flavours; figs, pear syrup. Full-bodied, bit sticky, meaty ('bouillon'). Faint malt bitterness in the aftertaste, but the main stamp remains full sweetness. Aged, it's nice. The agressive roasted bitterness of the young beer is gone, and it's more true to the given style. My bottle says 8.8%ABV, however.
