500ml bottle from Ciderwinkel. Hazy yellow colour, foamy white head that dissipates away and aroma of light funk, citric tart. Taste is sour, tangy apple, sharp funky, lemony citrus rind, drying. Slick mouthfeel, medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry sour finish. Quite drinkable.

Tap @ Reverend Nats, Portland. Well, there certainly wasn't much of the above description in the taproom tasting notes, cascade instead of amarillo listed, and didn't really pick out much complexity at the time. Aroma sweet apple fruit. Taste is gently acidic, sweet apple, white grape, barely discernible apricot, distant orange citrus, generally clean and lacking much of the promised complexity unfortunately, with little spice and yeast influence. Wouldn't mind trying a bottle.

Tap @ Reverend Nats, Portland. Pours a murky gold. Aroma is spiced, cinnamon, brown sugar. Taste is largely spiced, lightly stewed apple fruit, caramel, dusty brown sugar, a little musty, unfiltered.. a nod to a wintery mulled apfelwein perhaps.

Tap @ Reverend Nats, Portland. Pours golden yellow, aroma has sweet apple and cherry juice. Pretty savage ghost chili presence which completely takes over the character of the cider, subtle cherry juice lurking underneath. Bizarre.

Tap @ Reverend Nats, Portland. Misty yellow appearance. Sour funky nose. Pleasantly sharp, sour with light funky shades, sharp apple fruit shining through. Not as savage as some sidras, but has a nice astringent edge to it.

12 fl oz can from Ciderwinkel. Pale red colour, fizzy white foam head that quickly reduces to a thin rim and aroma of dark cherry, berry cordial, apple. Taste is sweet, fleshy apple, alittle pear, with dark berry fruits, black cherry, some marzipan, along with a sour note and some lingering spice. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry warming spicy finish. Quite drinkable.
