Description
Revival Brewing Company is a renewal of brewmaster Sean Larkin’s passion for unique and innovative craft beers, cultivated over twenty years of creating signature brews for the preeminent breweries in Rhode Island. Though he’d been thinking about striking out on his own for a few years, it was an introduction to Owen Johnson, an avid home brewer, in late 2009 that set in motion that which would become Revival. Over that first December breakfast meeting at Nick’s on Broadway, the two discovered how closely their ambitions and passions aligned.

Thanks Henry Dark orange. Light head. Orange and peppery aroma. Citrus and a bit of faded hops. A solid mouthfeel. Orange skin, honey and a little green tea. There’s a little bit of tropical taste here decent

Location: 12 oz bottle from Nikki's Liquor, 4/30/15, NFL Draft 2015 beer!
Aroma: The aroma is full of clove/spice, Belgian yeast, wheat, orange zest, and floral notes.
Appearance: It pours a clear orange color with a very large, frothy, off white head and average lace.
Flavor: It tastes along the same lines, good balance with the spice, sweetness, and light bitter.
Palate: The mouthfeel is pretty solid, drinks nicely, though it has slightly too much carbonation.
Overall Impression: An o-lineman makes sense. As for the beer, not too bad at all. Solid, drinkable, will made hefe. No complaints from me.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Nikki's Liquors, 4/14/15
Aroma: It has a fruity hop aroma, tropical mostly, herbal hops, pale malts, and some dusty notes
Appearance: The pour is a darker orange, with a small beige head and medium-heavy lace
Flavor: The flavor is similar, though the fruit comes through less, mildly sweet, mid-plus bitter
Palate: Medium bodied, slightly oily texture, average-to-lively carbonation, and a fairly dry finish
Overall Impression: This is a decent overall APA. The flavor and aroma both fall off through the glass significantly, which is a little odd. One of those beers where my score would probably be higher on a 6oz sample than a full bottle, but this gets the full bottle rate.

Aroma: Roasted coffee and dark chocolate aroma, underlying pine, toast, and a bit of earth.
Appearance: Pours a dark brown color, with a really nice, lasting, frothy tan head and heavy lace.
Flavor: The flavor is unsweet coffee/dark malts, minimal sweetness, fairly bitter on the finish.
Palate: Medium bodied and fairly creamy on the mouth, worth a soft carbonation, and a dry finish.
Overall Impression: This is a great looking beer with a head that refuses to go away. The aroma and the flavor are solid, but not spectacular. Solid, but the pour is the standout here over the rest of the brew.

Sampled at 3rd annual RI Brewfest. Pitch black color, lasting tan head. The nose is a touch of vanilla, dark chocolate, dark espresso, and plenty of roasted grain. It kind of like standing in a Starbucks as the barista makes your coffee. The flavor is the same a nice dark chocolate and bitter, deep roasted espresso bean. The body is super full with a nice creamy mouthfeel. Very nice.

12 oz pour on draft at Doherty’s east End Pub. Aroma of toasted malts and rye. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, grapefruit and rye. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering spicy malt aftertaste. Real drinkable if you enjoy rye.

Sampled at 3rd annual RI Brewfest. Nose shows light yeasty with a citrus fruit note. Flavor is yeast dominant but not German at all, an American bastard version. Body is a tad thin and doesn’t give the chewy fuller that the German ancestors give. Ok, but nothing close to what I want.

Tap at Brutopia. Pours orange with one finger head. Nose is citrus, florals, and rubbing alcohol. This a harsh brew with boozy palate but they brag about that in description so you know what your getting. Tastes og oranges, flowers, grapefruit, dusty hops, some pine, and cheap grain alcohol.
