From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours fairly crisp gold with fine white foam, starting grossly grained. Aroma is a fresh citrus, with some herbaceous and malty too. Body is dense, with a bit of astringency. Taste is partially sweet, but most of all intensely bitter. Bitterness is long in the finish.

Tap at Sam Beer (Rome). Misty yellow pour, white foam. Nose is fruity with firm hints of melon. Mouth is wheathy with a strong chicory bitterness.

Bottle at Palermo Airport, Sicily, 4th June 17. Pours watery black. Aroma is liquorice, ash, dark chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, bitter chocolate, ash, bitter and dry. Good porter.

Bottle at San Vito Lo Capo, 3rd June 17. Pours clear and clean, little head, lacing. Aroma is fresh grain, malt, grass. Taste is really fresh, light citrus, pine, grass, light malts in the background. Lovely in the sun.
