Description
Sixth generation headstrong Belgian true craft and traditional brewery, established in the early 1800's and on the same exact location were we are still today since 1859! Call us stubborn. But we are still a family with strong values. We still brew all our beers ourselves. We still use the original copper kettles. And we can guarantee our quality for at least another 150 years! We're headstrong. True craft brewers. And we're from Belgium!! These beers were not made in someone's garage as a hobby. For six generations, brewing is our family's passion. We do not follow hypes. We stay true to the craft. Without compromises on quality. And in this respect, you can call us stubborn.

(bottle, 25cl) Clear, amber colour with a big and bubbling, tanned foamy head. Sweet caramel-malty aroma with bready notes and a tinge of metal. Sweet flavour with a whiff of sourness, medium to light bodied with a slightly sharp carbonation. Malt-accented taste with caramel and notes of bread crusts and marzipan; sweet malty and slightly metallic finish. Rather unconvincing. 15.XI.10

Bottle picked up at Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgie, 01.10.10 consumed 16.10.10 Pours gold, throwing a slight haze, thin white bubbly head. The aroma is a touch farmy, actually touch saison like. Soft and fizzy in mouth, pleasant Tripel with a slight lemony streak running through it, dry & softly bitter in the finish, I like this. Bottle, 25cl. A clear, golden beer topped by a dense, off-white finger-thick head. Sugary, fruity nose with some alcohol hints. Dry, medium body with grainy malts, sweetness and fruits. Bitter, grainy finish. A boring one indeed, but drinkable indeed. 100331

Bottle. It pours an almost clear body, quite fizzy, and golden in color. A dense, two-finger, off-white head sits on top, leaving lacings. Overripe apples and pears in the aroma, white sugar and a faint spice note too. The flavor has apples, white sugar, some spiced notes and a good bitterness. Full-bodied and slightly warming, finishing, warm, dry and bitter. A rather ordinary tripel, but it drinks easily. 100327
