(Bottle 25 cl) My version was 4,5% ABV. Pale red colour, pretty much like a traditional kriek actually. Tall, pretty, pinkisk and almost velvety head. Some underlying sweetness from the blueberries but not overwhelmingly so. On the contrary this is rather dry and never cloying as with some of the more pop-like fruit-beers. Based on pils, which is fairly unusual. 130795

Ruby red with creamy violet head, lace. Aroma of leather and blueberry. Artificial sugar and blueberry flavors. Dry, slightly bittersweet aftertaste. Artificial, just drinkable.

Cloudy reddish brown color; light pink head, big. Very nice aroma of blueberry. The flavor is simple but ok, with moderate sweetness and some fruitness, but the palate is biting bitter, not enjoyable finish.

Bottle Creamy, white, moslty lasting head. Fair lace. Hazt, white body. Lots of small particles. Citrus and orange in the nose. Lightly acidic, lightly bitter flavour.

Bought this fall 2004 at LCBO. Hazy white with a thick creamy lacing white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast and lemony coriander. Creamy mouthfeel, sweet and smooth. Notes of bananas and light spices, lacking in depth. OK white.

Bottle. Dark purple colour, very small head. Some berry aroma. Flavour of the samme berries as aroma. This is sodapop. Not bad though.

This beer poured a cloudy pale yellow with a bright white foamy head. The first sniff noticed the usual yeast from a wheat beer. Slightly peppery with a hint of fruit. The first sip was watery and metallic. Sharp on the tongue. It had the usual yeastyness of most belgian beers. The finish was just of yeast and that was it. The palate was pretty much the same.

(I’ll have to join Josh with a very aged one) Beer itself very clear foxy-amber, but dark flunky bits get stirred up, only to settle again; off-white head, fast gone, big bubbles. Biscuit, bit of port, but also faint fruity nose, like blueberries. Generally speaking very watery. Bit of caramel and biscuit in the taste, but overlying is a metallic-bitter flavour. Portwine flavours, but faint. Somehow the bitterness doesn’t translate as hoppy to me. Extremely light, watery texture. Aftertaste gets a bit creamier, but metallic tang keeps very apparent. Weak, faint-fruity and unrefined ale. Young too, no mistake.
