Draught @ Albion. Cloudy dark amber with very small frothy off-white head, faint cocoa aroma, medium carbonation, faintly sweet taste with alcohol undertones, an acidic streak and cocoa, thin body, longish acidic finish with alcohol aftertaste. Interesting brew but the alcohol bite is a bit too obvious.

Bottle shared at the Hackobock tasting at Craft Islington. Cheers! It pours darkest red - brown with a medium tan head. The aroma is sweet, juicy, rather fruity, redcurrant, blueberry, toasty action and wood. The taste is slick, sweet, sticky, tangy fruits, jammy berry, dried fruits, warming alcohol, wood and some toffee. Medium - full body and decent carbonation. All comes together rather well and drinks easy. Nice.

16 oz. can, traded from Brian. Pours black, with a small, tan head. The aroma is toffee, baking chocolate, light licorice, cloves, and graham crackers. Sweet and malty, with a light hop bitterness and only a bit of roasted bitterness. Heavy body, syrupy, sticky, a bit grainy, and warming through the finish. This is a solid, well made stout. A bit boozy, but not in too bad of a way. Nice aroma, and smooth, balanced flavor.
