Description
The Brand that Started the American Cider Revolution

At Woodchuck® we have been crafting America’s original hard cider since 1991. Back then we didn’t really care that the world was drinking beer, because we had a passion for hard cider. So that’s what we made. Sure, cider may be popular now, either way we’ve stayed true to our roots, fermenting quality innovative ciders with every batch, because we like it.

Bottle at home just fishing the last of supermarket shelves unticked. Light cider pour. Nose is tart apple and perfume. Tastes of decent Granny Smith, light flowers, lime, residual sugar. Too much sugar but overall not terrible.

Been following the cider thread in forums and got all in mood, unfortunately no actual good cider was available to me today so grabbed some woodchuck from Publix. Clear amber pour. Nose is sugary apples and perfume. Tastes of caramel, flowers, apple pulp. Sugary but not terribly sweet thank heavens. Resorting to these measures makes me miss the northeast.

bottle, rated in June 2017 - Aroma is of apple and bourbon. The flavor is sweet with oak and bourbon. Light to medium bodied. It works fairly well. The barrel aging adds some interest without being overpowering.

Backlog rating. Bottle from Old Town. Big apple-forward nose with some white wine notes and caramel. Fairly sweet on the palate, light cinnamon, caramel and wine notes. Some light dryness on the finish, but mostly sweet.
