Description
Our brewery is made up of over 300 team members, that proudly give their best to serve you, our valued consumers, with the best beer they possibly can.
Just like the vast diversity in cultures, languages, and regions that represent Ethiopia, Habesha Breweries reflects all Ethiopians. Our people illustrate the beauty and rich diversity that one can find in Ethiopia.
Our team is working closely together with local farmers. We assist them in professionalizing their business, helping them to grow better quality barley. Their better quality seeds yield up to 30% higher profits, whilst our brewery guarantees strong demand for their produce.
Our beer is brewed from Ethiopia’s best water, directly sourced from the highland grounds of Debre Birhan, there where our proud and passionate people transform prime quality yeast, barley malt and hops into our beloved beer.
Note: Although the above description is interesting, many of their beers are brewed in Holland.

Glass @ Gojo Ethiopian Resto Bar. I didn’t see the vessel. This is oddly my third Ethiopian beer. Paired with a yellow split pea & turmeric dish apparently called Yekik Alicha & a spinach dish (Ye’abesha Gomen seems to be the name). Lightly hazy, golden to orange, touch darker than usual for the style, creamy white head that disappears. Lightly metallic in the nose, low corn, falls bit flat, lots of cardboard. Taste is flat, plastic, corn, low white sugar, cardboard is very big,.... Body is cardboard, plastic. Cardboard is far too big but that might be age who knows? Iron in the nose but not in the taste. This one doesn’t suffer from vegetable notes or other unpleasantries. Not good in general but definitely better than most of its kind.

Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of banana, malts. Sweet malty flavour. Sweet malty finish. Bit too sweet for my liking. Not bad though, reminding of Bavaria.
