Description
Urban Artifact is Ohio’s home for sour beer; located in the historic St. Patrick’s church in Cincinnati. With a special emphasis on fruit beers, they have created a niche with their signature overfruited Midwest Fruit Tart style focusing on balance, drinkability, and real fruit. Brewing a bevy of different sour beers, from the standard German style gose, to the exotic spontaneously fermented barrel aged sour with a wide variety of different fruits, there is sure to be something new and exciting to explore. We are currently on pace to use over 400,000 lbs of real fruit this year alone!

Our Northside, Cincinnati taproom is open seven days a week, with food service provided by Wildfire Pizza Kitchen. We host live music five nights a week at the Radio Artifact Live stage, and make the historic church sanctuary, The Reliquary, available for receptions and events.

Radio Artifact, the Urban Artifact hosted independent music radio, can be listened to on 91.7FM HD2 in Cincinnati or live streaming online at radioartifact.com

Upfront it's mad tart citrus but after letting it breathe I'm digging the strawberry sorbetto completeness. It's accurately tons of strawberries with a sorbet nose and finish.

Can. Purple coloured beer with a reasonable head. The aroma is fruity with some sourness. The flavour is sour with a dulled raspberry and blackberry tone. Overall a nice sour and berry fruit beer.

I saw tart and I said I'd give it a try. Then I found out it was a berliner, now I really can't wait, just the name is making my mouth water. $2 can pours clear pale with an active white head. Nose is somewhat industrial Good initial uptake on teh palate. Friendly cutting bubbling activity on the palate, very nice first impressions. Simply berliner tart with a touch of lemon and lime. In the middle I do get some of the peel thing happening in the aftertaste of each slug. Pretty good and very refreshing, I really like a well made berliner, its simple fun fantastic. Thanks AU - much better than expected. Finishes like an almost sour lime soda with a touch of lemon pledge. Goes down way too easy, you can barely tell its beer because it hides the alky so well.

light purple can. Not much nose but something fruity is there, just barely. Pretty beer, pinkish with a smooth creamy head. First taste is refreshing and bubbly. Smoother sizzle. Quite refreshing, just like a gose should be, not to tart and just a tad of salt with a well balanced fruit background. Quite yummy and much better than expected. Tasty fun good stuff. Good job there UA! You'd never even know there was alky in this, be careful, goes down way too easy.

Can. Murky purplish coloured beer with a light head. The aroma fruity black cherry, and the flavour is vibrantly fruity with some fizzy and sourness. Overall a nice fruity black cherry and gently sour beer.
