16 oz can from Joe's Canal. Darker brown color with a thin off white head. Sweeter coffee, roast, maple syrup, some candied sugar. Smoke/ wood is light, but present. Nutty notes as well. Could have used a bit more smoke to balance out the sweetness.

Can pour from Colonial Spirits, Acton (canned 4/30/19). Appearance is opaque orange (orange juice) with tons of sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-width foamy off-white head with fair retention and light leggy lacing. Aroma is fruit salad and citrus with notable malt backbone and a little savory element. Taste is strong citrus/tropical fruits, sugar cookie and mild pine with less noticeable bready malt. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with thick, frothy texture, soft carbonation, pleasant mild alcohol warmth and slightly spicy and finish as taste. Overall, have to question this rating a bit due to the age of the beer (and I caution anyone going to Colonial Spirits to be wary of old beer--didn't like that this IPA was so old but they did some aging for me on a couple porters and stouts!). Still, I'm posting the rating since it is still positive. Fresh, this might be really fantastic. Looks more like a NEIPA and feel is almost like an Imperial NEIPA but this is one serious beer.

Bottle: Poured a pitch sludge black with a light brown head. Aroma was peanut butter, vanilla and booze. Taste was similar with nice mixing of the peanut butter and vanilla, light cocoa as well as some booziness.
