Draft at Southern Grist 3rd Anniversary. Pours a deep brown with a finger of beige head that lingers. Bourbon forward nose with oak and vanilla really coming out and hefty dose of dark chocolate fudge aromas. Smooth with oak and creamy vanilla. Warming, but not overly boozy. More cacao nib and fudge brownie character. Some light bitterness on the finish, but the oak and vanilla notes really balance things out. Killer.

Taster at the Lincoln Fill Station. Pours a dark, brown color, with a small, tan head. The aroma is chalk, sawdust, mild cherries, sherry, and black bread. Sweet and malty, with a lot of barrel character. Heavy body, with a sharp, boozy feel. This is a pretty nice and interesting beer.
