Description
Fremont Brewing was born of our love for our home and history as well as the desire to prove that beer made with the finest local ingredients β organic when possible --, is not the wave of the future but the doorway to beer's history. Starting a brewery in the midst of the Great Recession is clearly an act of passion. We invite you to come along with us and enjoy that passion -- because beer matters.

22oz bottle, poured a slightly golden color with a white head. Aroma was juicy citrus grapefruit, light, sweet malts. Flavor has a nice tropical mango note, with some light orange peel. Carbonation just about right. Pretty refreshing.

Bottle thanks to bgramer. Pours mostly black with a reddish tinge. Off white/tan head ring. Nose and taste of bourbon, oak, roasted chocolate malt, flaked oats, vanilla and dry chocolate cake. Medium body. Smooth.

On tap at BevX360, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of lavender, liqueur, and a bit of oak - very bizarre. Flavour seems quite spicy, with lots of lavender, a touch of liqueur and booze. Not really a fan of the additions to this - the flavours just don't harmonize well. Drinkable, but not very intriguing.

On tap at BevX360, pours a hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out fresh piney hops, a little fresh grass and doughy malt. Flavour brings out fresh dough, medium hops presence for a pale ale, finishing very doughy. Very drinkable for a pale ale, with a very high freshness factor. Great doughy pale.

On tap at BevX360, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma of light hops, some light tangerine and biscuity malt. Flavour is refreshingly and lightly hoppy, with some light fruity notes. Not that interesting, but highly drinkable and a nice summer beer. Solid.

Bottle - The oak shines in the aroma, with subtle bourbon notes and roast malts coming through. Inky black with no head. The prominent flavor is from the barrel, giving a nice oaky char which is not overbearing but also cuts the sweetness of the bourbon. Chocolate also stands out and there is none of the Soy Sauce or bitter notes. A very good stout.
