Singapore holiday - day 9/13, a small bottle from their pub on Club Street, drunk at the hotel. Aroma: barely noticeable, rather sour hay. Appearance: clear amber, 2-3mm. off-white foam. Palate: light-bodied and dry on the tongue, average carbonation; nice clean finish. Taste: lightly bitter with sweet notes, quite well-balanced; Parma violets, some pine. Nice and dry, pretty good beer.

Singapore holiday - day 9/13, a small bottle from their pub on Club Street, drunk at the hotel. Aroma: fresh and fruity, passion fruit. Appearance: handsome semi-opaque copper, negligible lacing. Palate: light-bodied and slick, average carbonation; quite a long and rather malty finish. Taste: lightly sweet, some maltloaf, a hit of sherbet lemons. The fruit doesn't really come through, but it is quite refreshing.

Singapore holiday - day 7/13, at their pub on Club Street, a pint draught. Aroma: good, cocoa powder. Appearance: Americano, 5mm. tan head. Palate: light-bodied, viscous and sticky, lively carbonation; malty finish. Taste: lightly bitter with sweet notes, malt loaf. The chocolate fails to materialise; it's alright, a bit watery.

Draft at The Autobus, Singapore. Poured almost black in colour with a round, frothy, off-white head. The aroma is roasted malt, light ashtray. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter, with a smooth, roasty, light caramel ashtray, light liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Lacks defining flavours. It’s craft but doesn’t really stack up to the macro’s.

Bottle. Dark golden, a little hazy, white foam. Aroma: citrus, orange, light sweetness, a little caramel. Taste: a little sweet, caramel, candy, orange, a little other fruits and pine.

Bottle. Golden, almost clear, white foam. Aroma: spicy and herbaceous hops, a little citrus and fruit. Taste: malty, clean, slightly spicy hops, a little citrusy, pleasant bitterness.
