0.33 l bottle from 'Bierloods22', 9.8% abv, best before February 2024. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity, slightly roasty aroma of caramel, toasted nuts, coffee and some raisins. Quite sweet, malty, gently roasty taste of caramel, dark chocolate, coffee, some licorice, raisins and a touch of oak, followed by a medium long, quite roasty-bitter, slightly earthy, a little vinous finish. Medium to full body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Rather fruity for an Imperial Stout, almost vinous, still with quite some roast and a velvety mouthfeel. Very pleasant, but also with enough intensity.

Bottle at home, from advent calender. Almost clear dark golden, small head. Some malts, wheat, light banana, cloves, soft berries. Medium sweet, light bitter and sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Unoffensive but also not exciting at all.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra Gorinchem. Dutch brewery #399. Clear golden with an over-enthusiastic white head. Nice ginger and lemongrass aroma. Bitter-sweet taste with a bitter herbal finish. Tasty pale ale with a twist, might indeed go well with a hot curry.
