Dark brown with a medium sized foamy tan head that faded quickly. Sweet caramel with strong dough, dark fruit, and a boozy whiskey presence. Very long finish. Moderately full bodied.

Draught @ George Keeley, Manhattan (Feb 2024). Clear dark brown with faint red highlights, large spongy tan head, faint dark roasted malt aroma, adequate carbonation, bitter dark toasted rye taste with faint citrus flavor, thin body, long bitter finish. I had expected a smoother one due to rye.

Draught @ The Hoptimist, Manhattan (Apr 2024). Faintly cloudy dark amber-copper with a small frothy off-white head, faint malt aroma, low carbonation, bitter resinous taste with lightly piney flavor, thin body, long bitter finish. Decent West Coast IPA.

16oz can pours like your standard hazy, murky yellow, plenty of creamy white head. Nose has some straw and a little wheat, followed by citrus and some jasmine. Flavor has light tropicals, lemon, orange, wheat, malt. Creamy finish. It's not quite IPA but close. Fun.

8oz pour at Haymaker pours a translucent brown, ring of white head, light legs. Big cocoa nose, malt and caramel, some bourbon and wood and booze. Witchhazel on the tongue, prickly and its not just the booze (but it is also the booze), cocoa and caramel and even some coconutty bourbon. Full bodied, sticky finish.
