Can, from City Swiggers, Manhattan NYC (Aug 2025). Pours hazy lemon yellow with a large foamy off-white head, citrus-melon aroma, adequate carbonation, mildly bitter citrusy taste with light piney background, mooth body, long finish. Tasty NEIPA.

Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: black in color with a two and a half to three fingers of foamy khaki almost tan head; dissipated nicely to leave some subtle lace
Aroma: big bold roasty chocolate malts; toast/dark toast, some dark grains, decent amount of coffee tones
Flavor: moderately wraps up the prior noted aromas to blend nicely with a clean aftertaste of the coffee, roasted malts and dark toast
Texture: medium bodied, some sessionability about it but seems to try to be a sipper to an extent; semi-dry with some roast abrasion to my tongue but nothing overbearing; quick finish of roast, coffee sweetness and dark toast
Overall: part of me wonders if this is one of those "robust porters" I keep hearing about, either way, I could come back to this.

Can to becher pint glass.
Appearance: murky to semi-golden yellow color with a one and a half fingers of white foamy head which slid off decently to leave some messy lace
Aroma: citrusy, stiff white grapey and grassy hop notes align over top of a light cracker malt base
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a subtle bittersweet dry juiciness; mild aftertaste of the citrus
Texture: light bodied, fairly sessionable; carbonation seems to be appropriate; somewhat smooth along my tongue; finishes crisp, semi-dry and grassy
Overall: for the most part, it works as a session IPA, probably one of their better beers in the IPA world.

Can to nonic pint glass.
Appearance: rustic copper color with an ever so slight transparency about it. Three finger white foamy head dissipated nicely to leave some adequate messy lace
Aroma: caramel/toffee maltiness up front, some nuttiness, some earthiness and a delicate touch of crisp lager-like tone
Flavor: mildly cracker-like malty sweet tones, nutty toastiness, light bread; mild aftertaste of nuts, toast and earthy character
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; clingy smoothness but not cloying; finishes crisp and earthy toned
Overall: I can see it as an amber/Vienna lager brewed by an American brewer, would I have this again? Hmmmm, I think so but possibly could see myself reaching for a different amber/Vienna lager before this if possible.

Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a three finger khaki foamy head which took it's time to dissipate and leave some light messy lace
Aroma: dark roasty malts, dark bread, dark toast, dark fruits, milk and dark chocolate; sweet cream/lactose
Flavor: rich and sweet through the prior noted aromas; nice aftertaste of dark and milk chocolates
Texture: medium bodied; between sessionable and being a sipper; very smooth along my tongue; finishes rich and creamy
Overall: definitely one of the better beers by this brewery, I would definitely come back to this.

Can to becher pint glass.
Appearance: murky copper color with a two finger white foamy head which slid off adequately to leave some messy lace
Aroma: citrusy hops, subtle grassiness; mild clean crackery malts
Flavor: somewhat bittersweet with some kind of mild "juiciness" trying to come through; quick aftertaste of citrusy hops
Texture: light to medium bodied; somewhat sessionable; brisk smoothness along my tongue; finishes semi-dry, crisp and some hop spice
Overall: well, it was better than the last IPA I had by them but I believe this one needs some work to it.

5.1
Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 5 | Overall - 5

Can to becher pint glass.
Appearance: glossy burnt yellow color with a slight transparency about it. A three finger white foamy head sat atop my glass and slid off adequately to leave some messy lace
Aroma: citrusy/peachy thing going on with some mango tones; delicate cracker-like malt underneath
Flavor: sweet through the prior mentioned aromas, I was waiting for the "bitter" part to come but that happened - it just happened separately which wasn't exactly I was hoping for; mild aftertaste of the citrus and peaches
Texture: light to medium bodied, some sessionability about it. semi-smooth along the tongue; finishes pretty sweet
Overall: in a world full of NEIPA's this seems to miss the mark. I believe the recipe needs to be re-worked.

Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: black color with a one finger off white foamy head which dissipated mildly to leave barely any lace
Aroma: lots of rich coffee tones, and a lot of roasty bold dark and milk chocolate tones; super subtle earthy character; subtle ash
Flavor: mirrors the aromas in a nice roasty and rich toastiness; mild aftertaste of the roast
Texture: light to medium bodied; seems to want to be sessionable but slightly comes across as a sipper; gentle roast grip on my tongue; finishes dry and roasty and toasty
Overall: a no frills and extras sort of American stout for the most part. I believe I would come back to.

Hazy pale gold at their Union square open air space.

Aromatic raspberry lemon nose.
Taste is plenty tart, raspberry dominant with a soft fuzzy bittersweet Meyer lemon tail.
Thin, crispy, maybe too acidic.

Okay.

Plastic cup at torch n crown, union square.
Rich hazy orange pour with a lingering frothy mass.
Earthy, shroomy, papaya nose.
Bittersweet orange rind, Vidalia onions, cream, kinda too fresh dank, unsavory medicinal hops over some more earthy n veggie notes.

Meh.
