About
We create our own beer recipes – with homemade malt (BOM means Belgische Originele Moutbakkerij or Belgian Original Maltbakery) forming the basis for a secret composition of ingredients, called a “BOM package” – that we brew according to the principles of a gypsy-brewery. The Triporteur beers are our point of departure and our basic beers. Besides those, we also launch a special beer line with once-off products.

Bottle from Belgiuminabox, Antwerp. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Nose is treacle toffee, chocolate raisin, dried fruit, brown sugar. Taste is cola, more chocolate raisin, treacle toffee, sweet spice, sweet malt. Rich, sweet warming finish. Exactly how a Belgian Quad should be. Most enjoyable.

Almost black beer, a head is big and light blond. Aroma has dried fruitness, fresh fruits, plum, some spicyness and vanilla. Very nice. Taste has dried and fresh fruits, balanced spicyness, hint of vanilla. Medium+ bodied. Quite similar than marvellous Abbaye des Rocs Triple Impérialea.

A very dark brown beer, a head is big and light beige. Aroma has dark and dried fruitness, apricot, hint of sour bread. Taste has dried fruitness, low dark maltyness. Medium bodied. Pretty nice, simple.

2 February 2020. At Brugs Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke & Pieter! Clear golden, lasting, foamy, white head; lots of lacing. Aroma of grain, bread, yeast, pineapple, banana, cabbage (vague DMS?). Taste has sweetish 'plain' maltiness, bread & a bit fruity (apple, banana), bitter grain & spices ending in a grassy hoppy, spicy & yeasty finish. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Too 'plain' to me, not much to say about it.

1 February 2020. At Brugs Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke, Kevin, Niels & Cynthia! Clear dark golden, lasting, small, foamy, white head. Aroma of pine, pineapple, mandarin, grain, plum, herbs & dough. Taste has sweetish mandarin & mango, bitter grapefruit & pine on a grainy-yeasty base, bit doughy, herbal accents throughout, finishing dry, piney hoppy & yeasty. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Belgian Ale with a twist, perhaps good to have with a pasta?

Gave fra Christophe. Ultramørkebrun/svart. Høyt luftig lysebrunt skum som daler sakte. Spotlacing. Aroma av krydder & svisker. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken sammensatt. Krydder. Marsipan. Tørket frukt. Tørr avslutning med hint av alkohol.
