On nitro at The Sampler in Bushwick: Pours a really creamy looking light brown with a pretty nitro head. Aroma is light notes of pumpkin and a lot of maltiness. Taste is light pumpkin, with a sort of nondescript maltiness going for it. Nice and smooth, but otherwise unremarkable.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours orange with white head. Aroma is orange and plenty of it. This basically tastes like a light Belgian ale infused with massive amounts of clementines. The saison qualities take a backseat to the citrus. Not really for me, but if you love clementines...

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is light citrus and some pale malt backing. Taste is hoppy and moderately bitter. Body is light, of course, but not as light as that of some other session IPAs. It is becoming increasingly hard for me to tell what is a session IPA and an APA... is it a subset. In any case, I think that this beer might be doubled up under B&T Session Ale.

Pours dusty orange with light hop nose. Billed as session ale but at 6% I guess it’s a little high for that style. Tastes nice and bitter of light citrus and pine, light caramel and earth. Refreshing brew.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours an opaque orange with a white head. Aroma is coffee grounds and sugar. Taste is a lot of coffee grounds, which for whatever reason we think works weirdly with a lighter style of ale (is it because coffee is dark too... what about coffee with milk... well whatever). Anyway, this is sweet with some butterscotch notes, no hops, and plenty of coffee.

A milky brown ale with a very thin mocha head. In aroma, a sweet fruity malt with light off notes, faint rubber and grass over curacao. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with orange peels, not bad but ugly.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours dark, greyish brown, with a beige head. Aroma is wonderful smokiness mixed with the Scotch Ale sugar and malt. Really, the smokiness in this beer is really some of the best smoke flavor I have had in a beer. The scotch ale backbone is malty, but fortunately not sticky sweet. The 8 percent abv is well concealed behind a well-balanced ale.

A deep dark porter with a very thin brown head. In aroma a very nice nice bitter chocolate with coffee grind, light grassy notes, nice. In mouth, a sweet fruity chocolate malt with light veggie notes, burning mouth feel, very nice, if a bit light.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is light chocolate and coffee. Beer is light, slightly sweet. Not particularly robust. Basically, this is just a normal sessionable porter. Good, but I think I preferred the other BnT beers to this.
