Described as a west coast, hazy, red IPA. It's red at least. Murky garnet amber, lacey off white head. Nose is malt and pith and some odd, lurking meaty smoke. Flavor is charred oranges, earthy malt, more beechwood than peat, but a clear smoke character. Wtf is this. It's not bad... it's just none of the description. Update after a couple more sips: nope its bad. Off dry finish. Mercifully bitter. Wtf. 5 3 4 3 7

On tap at the brewery, pours a clear caramel brown, white head. Malty nose, bread, earthy, black tea. Flavor has some dried cocoa and black pepper too. Dry finish. True to style. 6 4 6 3 11

On tap at the brewery, pours a caramel brown, cloudy white head. Nose had crystal malt, lemon, black tea. Flavor follows with the tea, bread, lemon. Flabby finish. This definitely ain't my father's IPA... because no one would drink this.

10oz goblet at the brewery, pours a dark orange, with a ring of white head. Big nose, malt, orange, grapefruit, perfume. Flavor is malty, caramel, honey, orange, grapefruit, some pine sap. Finishes full bodied, sticky. 7 3 7 3 13

On tap at the brewery, pours a clear orange with a ring of white head. Nose has the standard orange and citrus, flowers and honey suckle, pineapple. Flavor has some grain, sun tea, orange, grass. Finishes bitter, medium bodied. Solid house IPA. 7 3 7 3 12

Draught @ the brewery. Opaque dark brown with small creamy beige head, sweet roasted malt aroma, low carbonation, sweetish coffee taste with vanilla flavor, smooth body long finish. Mellow, flavorful not terribly striking.
