Sample at the ’Smoked Meats and Beer’ tasting on 05/27/2017. Brown-black color with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Patchy lacing on the glass. Dark chocolate, smoked malt and oak aroma. Medium to full body with flavors of bittersweet chocolate, smoked malt and oak. The finish is malty with a fudge aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Bottle from Wegmans Ithaca. Clear orange-amber, with a froth of tan head. Sweet, bready malt aroma. Grains and spice. A little butterscotch. Mouthfeel is only okay. Finish is slight off. Not bad, not great. Aftertaste leaves a non-great final impression.

Bottle from Wegmans. Hazy golden pour with creamy white head. Musty, dusty, malty aroma. Taste brings the dank, bitter, savory. Caramel, Toffee. Nice. Easy to drink, lots of flavors.
