At the source: pours muddy brown. Taste and aroma is snickers, yes, really. It is good though... and there ain’t much more to it.

On tap. Tan murky brown. A-peanuts/chocolate-med malt. T-peanuts, then a cutting thinner impression then chocolate-med malt. Sweet. By the 2nd-3rd sip I was able to figure out the thinner component was caramel. Nice, sweet med body dessert beer.

Location: Growler from Syosset Beverage, 11/5/14

Aroma: The aroma is snickers bars and roast, with some cookie/doughy malt notes
Appearance: It pours a murky brown color with a light brown head and some light lace
Flavor: The flavor, as you'll expect from the nose, is snickers and cookies, like desert in a glass, with just a bit of roasty and nutty malt flavor and a mild bitterness to keep it from getting too sweet
Palate: The body is medium, it has a smooth carbonation, and a clean, easy drinking mouthfeel
Overall Impression: New York State brewery # 92! I have been trying to locate a Barrage beer the whole time I've been working out here, but the brewery is weekends only, and I haven't seen them show up on any nearby growler lists until today. I really enjoyed this beer. It's dessert beer for people who like dessert beer but don't like cloying dessert beers. Really works quite nicely. I could really drink a lot of this very easily.
