12 oz. can purchased at Total Wine in Denton, TX. Pours a crystal clear dark copper color with a small fizzy beige head and poor retention. No lacing. Malty grain aroma. Sweet caramel malt flavor. No bitterness. Clean and smooth mouthfeel with a slightly slick, flat finish. Very one dimensional, but I like it. The 6.8% ABV is very well hidden.

On tap at Common Table. Pours a clear yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet bread and graham cracker with light grass and pine underlying. Flavor has lots of sweet grains and a bread with a hint of sweet citrus.

12 oz can purchased in Austin, TX. Pours a cloudy gold color with a small white head and poor retention. No lacing. Grainy aroma with a strange background nose. Weird lager flavor mixed with other unidentifiable (and undesired) flavors. Is that the melon and mandarin? Lemon Pledge maybe? Not a fan.

Shaker pint draft at the 3 Nations Brewing Company in Farmers Branch, Texas. The pour is a clear copper golden with limited white head. The aroma is sweet malt, with nut, and floral. The taste is the sweet nuttiness of the malt, well balanced and clean with the floral hops. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and the sweet malt and mineral crisp finish. Easy drinking Oktoberfest.

Keg at the Munich Tap House, 15/07/17. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is tangerine, straw, cantaloupe melon, soft breads. Taste comprises orange peel, straw, toasted grains, mineral bite. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a juicy hop rinse. Decent enough IPL.

Draught @ Tap House Münich. Aroma is odd and musty with some bretta-vibes. Also citrus and fruits. Flavour has bretta, some grassy hops, herbal notes and soapy tones. Hop level is surprisingly öow for this style. Weird but not bad. In blind tasting I’d take this as a mellow Belgian bretta ale.
