Refrigerated brown 0.5 L brown bottle poured into a glass. Clear golden with small white head. Aroma is nice wood, nice tequila, and little lacing. Taste is nice tequila, nice wood, and a little salt. Was not expecting to like a barrel-aged gose, but this was nice.

Sample during the "Final Christmas Eve Adventures with the Foxes" on 12/24/2017. Slightly hazy orange color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lace. Aroma of citrus, tequila and wheat. Light-bodied with flavors of tart citrus, tequila, salt and malt. The finish is oaky with a tequila and citrus aftertaste. Decent overall.

0.5 L bottle, from weihenweizen. Pours a clear, dark, brown color, with a small, bubbly, brown head. The aroma is strong toffee, vanilla, caramel, and black pepper. Sweet and malty, with a bit of a hot finish. Medium to heavy body, with a thin, sticky body, and a warming, sharp finish. This is a pretty nice dubbel, and it's held up nicely over a couple years of aging.

Sampled from a 12.7 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very dark brown color with an enormous fluffy tan head that rose over the glass, lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was wood, almost bourbon, molasses, fig, dates and cherry. The flavor was bitterish, astringent and a bit medicinal with notes of dark fruits, cedar and tobacco. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Interesting.
