Another beer I found that has very little info. Seems to be a Mexican beer now made by a beverage company. Pour is a very pale gold with a small fizzy white head. Aroma is a little place malt and zero hops. Flavor is again a little malt and zero hops. Not much to offer. Just a genetic lite beer.

Bottle. Pours faintly cloudy dark orange-copper with large off-white foamy head, sweetish hops aroma, medium carbonation, bitter hoppy taste, long bitter finish with sticky aftertaste. High in hops but not really smooth, more like an overhopped malt liquor.

Bottle, 22oz. A hazy, dark golden-orange beer with a dense, finger-thick light beige colored head. The aroma is as oxidized and malty as the Pale Ale and the IPA from this company, and there’s a touch of grass, hay and dried fruits. It’s full-bodied and soft on the palate, semi-sweet, with oxidized, cheesy hops, hay, caramel and bread. Not much bitterness. Long, more or less unpleasant finish with a good dash of paint thinner. Why this is said to be a DIPA is beyond belief. 150608

Bottle, 22oz. A hazy, dark golden beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma is malty and oxidized, with some caramel and grass. Hints of orange. It’s full-bodied, soft and with a nice carbonation, but unfortunately the flavor is pretty much as disappointing as the aroma. But at least there’s some bitterness. Lasting finish. Some higher alcohol hints too. Not much interesting this one, close to not good actually. 150608

Bottle, 22oz. A light brown beer, mostly clear, and with a small, dense, beige head. The aroma is lightly oxidized, with caramel, dried fruits and some grassy, lightly fruity hops. Prunes, raisins, toffee, some roasted hints, bitterness, grass and pine cones in the flavor. It’s full-bodied, smooth and a bit heavy on the carbonation. Long, oxidized, dried fruits finish. Not much of a pale ale this one, more like a rather boring dubbel, but still not a dubbel. 1505608

Much like the IPA, which I have also rated, I found this oddity on the shelves at Frank’s Beverage Center in Glen Cove, New York... a long way from it’s birthplace in Monroe, Wisconsin. Caught my eye because I had never seen it before and it was $3.99 for the 22oz bottle. Pours an opaque brick red, basically brown with some clumpy, off white head. Nose... well, here we go, big caramelized sugar, minty, some clove, some burnt candy sugar. WTF is this? It smells like a mild dubbel. Flavor is the same, definitely not a Pale Ale, a little soapy, candy sugar, clove, some mild spice, dried cherry, some fruit cake, a little oily. Very strange. Neither of these beers were anything like their claimed styles.

Caught my eye because I had never seen it before and it was $3.99 for the 22oz bottle. Pours a murky amber with some ringing, white head. I thought it was supposed to be a light-golden color? Looks more like an amber or a dubbel to me. Nose has big banana and close, some yeast, some oven dried fruit, bubblegum. Flavor follows, raisins and prunes, bubblegum, some candy, some clove. Certainly no assertive hop character. This is a total catastrophe. Not only is this WAY off the style, but it’s just plain bad. Boozy finish. WTF.
