Twisted Barrel Ale
Microbrewery

West Midlands,
England 🏴
Associated Venue: Twisted Barrel Brewery Tap House
Established in 2014
After months of hard work developing a small selection of beers that would appeal to Coventry's patrons thirsting for our unique mix of modern and classical styles and methods we launched our beers at Coventry's number 1 bottle bar, Inspire, and it was a huge success. Originally brewing on a 60 litre kit, we described ourselves as 'the UK's first Pico-brewery'.
20th June 2015 and we held another launch. This time in our brand new Brewery and Tap House at FarGo Village. With a new 1000 litre brewing kit and an entirely new brand design from Stewart Easton, we've finally become the brewery we always set out to be. Almost 2 years later we transferred our bar and brewing kit into a space about 5 times larger than before, we're still serving the best beer at FarGo Village.

Handpull cask at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Very dark brown. Almost opaque with a small off-white/khaki head. Aroma is peanut, chocolate, vanilla with a little bit of smoke. Sweet taste, more peanut. Slightly bitter in the finish. Light body with soft to no carbonation. Decent if fragmented, and certainly worth trying.

Keg draught at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Lightish gold, hazy with a small white head. Fruity aroma: grapefruit, pineapple and a touch of vanilla. Bittersweet taste, white grapefruit rind, a slight plastic note. Fairly weighty bitterness in the finish. Full Holy with carbonation on the heavy side. Maybe not all that memorable but still good.
